Meeting place and time (summer hikes):
Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the south end of the Rite Aid parking lot, across from the post office. Hikes are regularly scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday.
Winter snowshoe hikes meet at 10:30 a.m. Please remember to dress for the weather with layers. Be prepared for weather changes. Bring extra water, food and warm, waterproof clothing. Dogs are welcome on snowshoe hikes unless in restricted areas such as Ponderosa State Park.
Transportation:
Transportation will be by car pool. a voluntary, but not mandatory, donation of $4-6 (depending on the distance) is suggested to offset the volunteer drivers' expenses. Carpool only if you are fully vaccinated.
Recommended Items to bring:
Hiking poles
Hat
Bug spray
Sunscreen
Lunch
Lots of water
A pair of traveling shoes or sandals to wear on the return trip + a bag to contain your dirty hiking boots.
Hiking Etiquette:
1. No dogs or small children allowed on any hikes, other than dog hikes.
2. Observe all safe backcountry travel and hiking practices.
